Et exspecto

Et exspecto, loosely translated as “and I await,” is taken from the Credo portion of the Mass, the full phrase translated as “and I await the resurrection of the dead.” I chose to strip that small phrase from its context, making the piece about waiting in general. The piece carries a nervous energy from the start, and features several effects that lie underneath the surface, creating inner twitches and anxieties.
